Agartala, June 27 -- Tripura Police today detained five Bangladeshi nationals, including women, and three Indian touts over the past 24 hours from different locations in West Tripura district, including Agartala and Amtali, for their alleged involvement in illegal cross-border movement and human trafficking.

According to police, East Agartala Police Station today apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian tout from the North Gate area of Agartala city.

"Based on a tip-off about suspicious movement of two women near North Gate, police launched an operation and detained two Bangladeshi women along with a local man. During interrogation, it was revealed that the women had illegally entered Tripura with the help of the man. A case ha...
