Imphal, June 27 -- In a series of successful operations carried out during the last 24 hours, Manipur Police and allied security forces apprehended several individuals involved in criminal and insurgent activities across Thoubal and Imphal districts.
Police today said Manipur Police, with assistance from vigilant locals, arrested a vehicle thief from Thoubal district. The arrest was made while he was attempting to steal a vehicle from Babu Bazar, Thoubal.
One anti-lock jack used to bypass vehicle ignition systems and one previously stolen two-wheeler were recovered.
In a separate operation security forces arrested a militant from Leikai, who was apprehended from Imphal West.
