Vijayawada, Feb. 13 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture K Atchannaidu has said fishing harbours in the state are being modernized with the PMMSY and Sagaramala funds.
The Minister, speaking in the Assembly on Friday, said these harbours were being modernized on par with international standards. The funds of Pradhana Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY)and Sagaramala were being utilized to modernize all the fishing harbours in the state.
The Agriculture Minister informed the Assembly that the state has a coastline of 1,053 km across 12 coastal districts with 350 land centres and fishing harbours.
