Fishermen arrested by SL Navy : Stalin writes to EAM to secure their release using diplomatic channels

Chennai, Dec. 28 -- Expressing deep anguish and concern over the arrestsof Tamil Nadu fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy personne which is continuingunabated with alarming frequency, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today wrote toExternal Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr. S. Jaishankar urging him to to secure theirrelease and their boats using diplomatic channels.

In Demi-Official letter to Dr Jaishankar, copies of which were released to themedia here, he requested him to take up the matter urgently through appropriatediplomatic channels to prevent the apprehension of TN fishermen by the LankanNavy and to secure their release along with their boats.
