Tapovan, Dec. 14 -- The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) showed a whooping increase in the Fiscal Deficit of this hill state, which went up by Rs 922 crore in the last two years. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who also holds the portfolio of Finance, tabled the CAG report in the Assembly on the last day of Winter session, here. The 'Audit Reports' on the accounts of the state government for the year ended March 31, 2018 was prepared by the CAG, in accordance with Article 151 of the Constitution. The report stated that fiscal deficit has been increased by Rs 922 crore from Rs 2948 crore in 2016-17 to Rs 3870 crore in 2017-18.
