New Delhi, Dec. 10 -- Marking a major boost to pilgrimage tourism and regional connectivity, union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna on Tuesday flagged off the Tirupati-Sainagar Shirdi Express via video conferencing from Rail Bhawan, in the national capital.
The new service, spanning Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra, provides the first direct rail link from the south coastal region of Andhra Pradesh to Shirdi, significantly easing travel for devotees while promoting economic activity and cultural integration across four states.
