Bengaluru, Oct. 4 -- Bengaluru city police have registered two FIRs against an unidentified person after bomb threat emails were sent to the High Court of Karnataka and the Consulate General of Israel in the city, which were later confirmed to be hoaxes.

According to the police, the emails, dated September 19, claimed that "6 RDX IEDs planted..blasts will occur after Friday Islamic Prayers (sic)" and were sent from the email ID [cho_ramaswamy@hotmail.com](mailto:cho_ramaswamy@hotmail.com).

The sender falsely identified himself as the late Cho Ramaswamy, former editor of Tughlak magazine. Following anti-sabotage checks, both emails were declared hoaxes.
