Sangli, Nov. 27 -- A mobile phone shop in Maharashtra's Sangli was extensively damaged after a fire broke out in the early hours of Thursday. The blaze occurred at Navrang Mobile Shop, located on the city's main road.
Residents alerted the fire brigade after noticing smoke emanating from the premises. The municipal fire service promptly reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Mobile phones, accessories, and other stock stored inside the shop were destroyed, resulting in losses estimated in lakhs of rupees. A panchnama is underway to assess the exact financial impact. Officials said preliminary findings indicate substantial damage.
