Itanagar, Oct. 21 -- A massive fire reportedly caused by firecrackers during Diwali celebrations gutted 21 shops in Khonsa Market, Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh, late last night.
The blaze broke out around 11:30 pm and quickly spread through several shops, causing panic among residents and business owners, officials reported. A total of 21 commercial establishments were affected, with nine shops completely destroyed and 12 sustaining partial damage.
Tirap Deputy Commissioner (DC) Techu Aran and Additional DC (ADC) Namneet Singh immediately coordinated a swift response. Personnel from the Fire Brigade, 44 Assam Rifles, 36 Bn CRPF, SDRF, and local volunteers contained the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby areas. No loss of li...
