Hamirpur (HP), Jan. 27 -- Congress party MLA from Badsar, MLA Inder Dutt Lakhanpal laid the foundation stone of the office building of the Fire Department here on Friday.
On this occasion, he said about Rs six crore would be spent on this building and apart from the department's office, all the state-of-the-art equipment, vehicles and other necessary facilities related to firefighting would be available.
Lakhanpal said the need for a fire brigade building was being felt in the Bijhari area for a long time and he was constantly striving for it. He said with the laying of the foundation stone of the building, the pending demand of the people of this area has been fulfilled.
