Srinagar, April 1 -- A fire broke out on Tuesday morning in a village of North Kashmir's Handwara sub-district, causing significant damage to two residential houses.
According to locals, the fire started in the house of Jehangir Ahmad Badhana at Hatchmargi Handwara and quickly spread, engulfing a neighboring house.
The Army's Haphruda camp of 2 Rajput swiftly alerted the Fire & Emergency Services team at Chowkibal.
Responding promptly, fire tenders reached the scene and, with the assistance of the Army and local residents, managed to bring the fire under control. No casualty or injury was reported, officials said
