Ranchi, Dec. 30 -- A massive fire broke out late Monday night at a medicine shop located near Kanke Road in the Jharkhand capital Ranchi, causing extensive damage and losses estimated to be worth several lakhs of rupees.
According to reports, the fire erupted at a shop near Care and Cure Medicine on Kanke Road and spread rapidly, engulfing the entire premises within a short span of time. Thick flames and smoke triggered panic among local residents, who immediately informed the fire brigade.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot soon after receiving the alert and, following sustained efforts, managed to bring the blaze under complete control.
