Sitapur, Dec. 19 -- : After learning that a group of people had sacrificed a piglet by apparently burying the animal alive at Godiyana, Manni Chauraha in Sitapur, for rituals, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals India (PETA India) successfully facilitated the registration of a first information report (FIR) at Kotwali Police Station recently.
The disturbing incident was captured on video which appears to show two men burying a terrified piglet alive for sacrifice. PETA India closely worked with the Superintendent of Police, Ankur Aggarwal, Dr Rajaganapathy R, District Magistrate of Sitapur; and Anup Kumar, SHO of Kotwali Police Station, to get the FIR registered.
