Hajipur, Oct. 10 -- An FIR has been registered against Independent MP of Purnea Lok Sabha seat in Bihar, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, for alleged violation of the model code of conduct, for distributing cash among people under Desri police station area in Vaishali district of the state.
Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) of Mahnar subdivision Neeraj Kumar said today that on the basis of reports that Pappu Yadav had distributed cash among people under Desri police station area yesterday, an FIR was registered against him.
The FIR was lodged by the Circle Officer of Sahdei block, Anuradha Kumari, after verification of the complaint received against Yadav, he added.
