Hubballi, June 2 -- Union Minister and senior BJP leader Prahlad Joshi on Sunday came down heavily on the Karnataka government over the FIRs filed against RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, terming them part of a larger campaign of "vilification" and "vote-bank politics."

Speaking to reporters here, Joshi said, "This is no longer just about hate speech. It is a politically motivated conspiracy. Karnataka has today become a safe haven for fundamentalists and even terrorists. When someone speaks the truth, it unsettles the government.
