Farukhabad, Jan. 14 -- A probe has been ordered against a private hospital after a new-born baby was mauled to death by a dog inside the operation theatre on Monday.
District Magistrate Manvendra Singh said here on Tuesday that an FIR has been registered and a probe ordered on the complaint of the baby's family.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Chandra Shekhar said the hospital has been sealed and an inquiry ordered into the incident.
The victim's family alleged that they noticed the hospital staff shooing a dog away from the operation theatre and soon after, they were told that the baby, born just two hours ago, was dead.
