Bengaluru, June 26 -- A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly comparing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler in a social media post.

The complaint, filed by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) General Secretary S Manohar, accuses BJP Karnataka of defaming the late Prime Minister. The post in question was shared from the BJP's official handle @BJP4Karnataka on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, June 25.
