Hyderabad, Aug. 18 -- Telangana State Media Academy Chairman K Srinivas Reddy today announced that financial assistance has been extended to 25 working journalists under the Journalists' State Welfare Fund.

Presiding over the third meeting of the Journalists' Welfare Fund Committee at the Media Academy office in Nampally, Reddy said the committee scrutinised applications and approved aid for the families of 18 deceased journalists, along with seven journalists who suffered serious accidents or chronic illnesses.
