New Delhi, Oct. 30 -- The Ministry of Finance has issued a warning about a fake video circulating on social media, claiming that union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is promoting a government project that promises unusually high returns on investment.
The video claims that an investment of Rs 21,000 can earn up to Rs 15 lakh per month.
The Press Information Bureau's fact-checking team has verified that this video is digitally altered and fake. "No such scheme has been launched or endorsed by the Finance Minister or the Government of India," PIB stated.
The government has not announced any such investment scheme, and citizens are advised to be cautious and not fall prey to suspicious investment claims.
