New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- The preparations for the union Budget 2026-27 have entered their final stages following the traditional 'Halwa Ceremony' at the Budget Press in North Block on Wednesday here.

The ceremony marks the beginning of the last phase of budget preparation before the Finance Minister presents the Budget in Parliament on February 1.

The event was attended by union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, and senior officials from the Ministry of Finance.

During the ceremony, the Finance Minister reviewed the work and extended her best wishes to all officials involved in preparing the Budget.
