Nouakchott, Dec. 5 -- At least 58 migrants were killed in a boat crash off Mauritanian coast, the UN Migration agency said on Wednesday.

The bodies of 58 migrants were fished out while another 74 people were rescued, as per Mauritanian news agency AMI. The boat proceeding towards Spain sank some 15 miles from the city of Nouadhibou, the UN Migration agency said. The boat was low on fuel while approaching Mauritiana. Survivors were being helped by Mauritanian authorities in the northern city of Nouadhibou. The boat carrying 150 passengers left Gambia on November 27. UNI XC SV 1029
