Bhubaneswar, Sept. 20 -- The Odisha Assembly got disrupted again today with Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) members raising the fertilizer shortage issue for the second consecutive day, forcing Speaker Surama Padhy to adjourn the House till 4 pm.
Friday's sitting had also witnessed repeated disruptions, with agitated BJD legislators storming the well of the House carrying placards and banners, and demanding suspension of other business for a debate on the crisis.
Today's session began with the adoption of an obituary motion moved by Chief Minister and Leader of the House Mohan Charan Majhi mourning the death of former MLA George Tirkey, who passed away late last night at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
