New York, Sept. 2 -- Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime produced a commanding performance to book his place in the US Open 2025 quarterfinals, defeating Russia's Andrey Rublev in straight sets at the Arthur Ashe Stadium here today.

The 25th seed registered a 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 victory in two hours and 16 minutes, marking one of his most significant Grand Slam wins in recent years. The triumph also ended a three-year wait for Felix against Rublev, improving his career head-to-head against the Russian to 2-7.

Rublev, seeded 15th, made a strong start by breaking early in the first set to lead 4-2. However, Felix responded with clinical shot-making and a powerful serve, breaking back at a crucial stage before running away with the set 7-5.
