Guwahati, June 16 -- With several locations of the Nilachal Hills, that houses the revered Ma Kamakhya temple, identified as landslide prone, the Kamrup district administration along with the Guwahati Police and the Kamakhya temple authority have decided to take adequate steps to ensure smooth sailing of the Ambubachi festival.
Addressing a joint press conference on Monday, Guwahati city Police Commissioner Partha Sarathi Mahanta said that everyone has to be careful while visiting the temple as several locations of the Nilachal Hills have been identified as landslide prone.
