New Delhi, March 11 -- Two persons, including a five-year-old boy and his 55-year-old father, suffered burns after a fire broke out in their house in Delhi's Hanuman Road area of Chirag Dilli on Wednesday morning.

The victims have been identified as Rakesh (55), who sustained about five percent burn injuries, and his son Kywansh, who suffered major burns.

According to fire brigade officials, a call about the incident was received around 5:44 am.

Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames. A team of local police officials from Malviya Nagar also reached the spot.

Fire personnel brought the blaze under control by 5:54 am, and the situation was completely normal by 7:30 am.
