Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 18 -- Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday warned that the country is facing a serious crisis, even as he hailed Kerala as a shining example of secularism, communal harmony, and democratic resilience.

Addressing the concluding session of the Vision 2031 conference, Abdullah described Kerala's inclusive and development-oriented governance model as a beacon of hope at a time when, he said, fundamental democratic values are under strain in several parts of the country.
