Lucknow, March 19 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed that sugarcane farmers be trained through master trainers in every district, with the involvement of local Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
The CM reviewed the Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department. Assessing the department's progress, he emphasised that farmers are the government's priority and directed officials to work diligently in their interest.
In the meeting, the CM was informed that during the 2024-25 crushing season, over Rs 23,173 crore has been paid to sugarcane farmers, covering 82 percent of total dues.
