Lucknow, April 12 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the BJP government over the plight of farmers in the state. He said that untimely rains, storms, and hailstorms have caused huge losses to farmers across the state, alleging that the government has yet to provide any concrete assistance.
Akhilesh Yadav said that farmers from east to west have suffered wheat, mustard, and other crops. In several districts, including Mainpuri, Kannauj, Barabanki, Sitapur, Hathras, Ayodhya, Meerut, Pilibhit, Mathura, Hardoi, Sonbhadra, and Shravasti, wheat crops have been damaged by the rain, leaving farmers in financial crisis.
