Hyderabad, June 2 -- Telangana Farmers Commission Chairman Kodanda Reddy on Monday expressed strong displeasure over the continued non-payment of compensation to farmers affected by seed production issues in Mulugu district, and sharply criticised the inaction of multinational seed companies involved in the matter.
A Zoom meeting chaired by Kodanda Reddy was held to review the status of the issue. The Commission conveyed its frustration over the delay in disbursing compensation and addressing farmer grievances.
The Mulugu District Collector briefed the Commission on the progress made so far, but the Commission expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of compensation and beneficiary selection processes.
