Pundri (Kaithal), Oct. 1 -- Hundreds of farmers, led by the youth wing of the Indian Farmers union (Crossing), staged a sit-in at the Market Committee in Pundri today, raising slogans against the government and administration in support of their demands. SDM Kaithal, Ajay Singh, who visited Pundri, was briefed about the issues faced by farmers in the mandi and received a memorandum addressed to the Deputy Commissioner.
Vikram Kasana, Advocate and Youth State President of BKU (Chadhuni), said the district administration must immediately check the stock of paddy and rice and take strict action against any illegally hoarded produce.
