Sheopur (MP), Oct. 30 -- In the aftermath of a farmer's suicide in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district, the state's principal opposition party, Congress, has launched a sharp attack on the ruling government.
The deceased, Kailash Meena, a resident of Sirsod village, reportedly took his own life by hanging from a tree on his farmland early yesterday morning.
According to local farmers and members of the farmers' association, Meena was deeply distressed after heavy rainfall destroyed his paddy crop. Some villagers also claimed that he had been under stress due to a personal dispute involving his daughter's in-laws.
