Vijayawada, May 13 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday told the officers to widely encourage horticulture in all parts of the State, except in the Godavari and Krishna delta areas setting a target of earning a minimum Rs 1 lakh per acre per year by farmers.

The Chief Minister who conducted a review at the State Secretariat on horticulture made several suggestions to the officers. Mr Chandrababu directed the officials to set up 24 clusters in the State with 11 major crops like chilli, banana, mango, oil palm, cocoa, dragon fruit, cashew, coffee, coconut, tomato and onion and extend support to farmers.
