Mumbai, Aug. 22 -- Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Harshvardhan Sapkal today claimed six farmers on an average are committing suicide in the state, and rapped the BJP-led Mahayuti government for its lack of concern on the issue.
"This government is not only thick-skinned like a rhinoceros but also blind, mute, and deaf. The pain of farmers simply didn't exist for them. This BJP alliance government is anti-farmer," said Sapkal.
He alleged that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his two deputies, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, sign off files for their favourite industrialists, and wondered why they can't lift a pen to sign the farmer loan waiver file.
