Chandigarh, Oct. 15 -- Tension prevailed in Ladhaut village of Haryana's Rohtak today after the family of Assistant police Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sandeep Lathar refused to conduct the post-mortem and perform his last rites, demanding a case be registered first.
The ASI allegedly committed suicide yesterday, accusing senior IPS officer Y. Poonam Kumar of corruption in a purported video statement and a four-page note left behind. UNI has neither verified the authenticity of the video, nor is it in a position to do so.
