Lucknow, March 20 -- In a tragic incident in the Banthra area of Sarojini Nagar in Lucknow, three members of a family allegedly consumed poison late Thursday night.
The incident claimed the lives of a woman and her elder son, while the husband is undergoing treatment in critical condition, police said on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Tarawati (52) and Sandeep (30). Roop Narayan (55), the head of the family, was rushed to a private hospital where he is currently admitted.
According to police, a suicide note recovered from the spot stated that the family took the step voluntarily and no one should be held responsible.
