Ranchi, Nov. 17 -- A man pretending to be Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren allegedly made unsolicited phone calls to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar and his wife, prompting the Chief Minister's Office to file an FIR in Ranchi.
The complaint was lodged late Sunday at Gonda police station by the CM's private assistant, Jai Prasad.
According to the FIR, the caller phoned the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister from mobile number 7439077614 around 9:50 pm on Saturday and introduced himself as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
The complaint also notes that a similar attempt had earlier been made with former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, where an unknown person tried to pass himself off as Hemant Soren. The CM's offic...
