Mumbai, Jan. 4 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated on Sunday that identifying and deporting illegally residing Bangladeshi nationals is the state government's top priority, adding that no compromise would be made on Mumbai's security. He made these remarks while addressing an election campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party alliance in Bandra. BMC elections are scheduled on January 15.
Fadnavis revealed that over the past seven to eight months, several Bangladeshi infiltrators have already been sent back. He emphasised that his government has consistently taken action against Bangladeshi citizens and that the security of Mumbai is an extremely important issue for the administration.
