Amravati, Oct. 14 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today dismissed the demand made by Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge seeking a ban on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities in government institutions and public premises in the southern state and termed it as a publicity stunt.

Speaking to reporters in Amravati, Fadnavis said Kharge had no standing of his own and alleged that his politics was entirely dependent on his father, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.

Defending the RSS, the BJP leader said the Nagpur-based organisation is a patriotic outfit guided by nationalist ideals.
