Nagpur, Jan. 8 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday strongly countered Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's remark that an "outsider" cannot develop Mumbai, citing union Minister Nitin Gadkari's significant contribution to the city's infrastructure.
Raj Thackeray, in a recent interview, had described Fadnavis as an outsider to Mumbai.
Responding during a talk show held in connection with the January 15 Nagpur Municipal Corporation elections, Fadnavis said that despite being born in Mumbai, several leaders failed to bring about meaningful development in the city.
