Nagpur, Dec. 12 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday instructed officials to draft a comprehensive action plan for creating India's largest shipyard in the state, highlighting its 720-km coastline, the upcoming Vadhavan port, and the expanding maritime sector, according to an official statement.

Fadnavis issued these directives during a review of the Ports Development Department held at the ministerial council hall in Vidhan Bhavan, where the winter session of the state legislature is underway.

He emphasised that a detailed project report should be completed promptly and that the site for the massive shipyard must be finalised soon.
