Mumbai, Sept. 27 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today and requested his assistance for Maharashtra's farmers, who are suffering losses due to heavy rains and floods.
Meanwhile, Congress sources indicated that Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, might visit the Marathwada region shortly.
Fadnavis told media persons in Delhi that he handed over a memorandum to the Prime Minister and briefed him on the situation in Maharashtra following the heavy rains and floods.
