Ch. Sambhajinagar, Sept. 17 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today announced that the state government will provide interest-free loans to women in every village through district banks, aiming to make one crore women self-reliant with loans of up to Rs 1 lakh.
The announcement was made at Kangaon in Phulumbri tehsil of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district, where Fadnavis formally launched the state-wide 'Mukhya Mantri Samridhi Panchayat Raj Abhiyan.' The programme coincided with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and Marathwada Mukti Sangram Day.
