Nagpur, Aug. 10 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dismissed claims that two people had approached Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray offering to influence assembly polls, calling them made-up stories.
On Saturday, NCP President Sharad Pawar claimed that before the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly polls, two people met him in New Delhi and guaranteed the Opposition's victory in 160 of 288 seats.
Pawar said he later introduced the duo to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who advised against engaging in such activities.
Shiv Sena-UBT leader Sanjay Raut echoed Pawar's statement, claiming that before the same polls, two people met Uddhav Thackeray and promised to ensure victory through EVMs in 60-65 tricky seats.
