Buldhana, Nov. 28 -- Congress leader and former MLA Rahul Bondre has alleged that Vidyadhar Mahale, personal secretary to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and husband of BJP MLA Shweta Mahale, is campaigning for the BJP despite being a government employee.
Bondre on Thursday claimed that Vidyadhar Mahale was openly campaigning for the ruling party in the run-up to the December 2 elections to municipal councils and nagar panchayats.
Calling it a serious violation of the Model Code of Conduct, he demanded action against Mahale.
Shweta Mahale, who represents the Chikhali constituency in Buldhana district, denied the allegations, calling them 'baseless' and 'politically motivated'.
