Baghdad, July 29 -- An unidentified explosive-laden drone crashed on Monday in Erbil province in the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region, northern Iraq, local authorities said.
The crash occurred at 5:50 a.m. local time (0250 GMT) near the town of Khabat west of the namesake provincial capital Erbil, without causing any casualties, the regional Directorate General of Counter Terrorism said in a brief statement.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
