Patna, Feb. 13 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey today said in the state assembly that the government is aware of cancer patients in the state and, following complaints from various regions, a special group of experts from three major medical institutions has been formed to conduct research on the presence of arsenic and uranium in water as possible causes of cancer.

Replying to a call attention raised by AIMIM MLA Akhtarul Iman regarding the increasing number of cancer patients in Seemanchal and across the state, the minister said the Bihar government has constituted a core group of experts from the State Cancer Institute at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Muzaffarpu...
