Bhopal, Jan. 5 -- Teams from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), AIIMS Bhopal, and Madhya Pradesh Health Department have been deployed to collect random samples of water from the Bhagirathpura locality of Indore, where 17 deaths have been reported from consumption of contaminated Narmada river water supplied through household taps by the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC).
A team of scientists, Dr Gautam Chaudhary and Dr Pramit Ghosh from Kolkata, arrived in Indore. As per Indore Collector Shivam Verma, the team would collect samples of drinking water from Bhagirathpura and conduct scientific investigations.
