Kolkata, Dec. 5 -- Expelled Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir on Friday set up a camp at Raginagar in West Bengal's Murshidabad district to monitor preparations for laying the foundation stone of a Babri Masjid replica on Saturday, even as multiple PILs seeking a stay on the event are expected to be heard in the Calcutta High Court.

"Yes, the laying of the foundation stone of the Babri Masjid model mosque is scheduled between 12 pm and 2 pm on Saturday, during which only the sacred Qur'an will be recited in the presence of hundreds and thousands of believers," said Kabir, who has announced that he will resign as MLA on December 17 in the state Assembly.
