New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- Excitement and anticipation has gripped Delhi's Chittaranjan Park, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to visit the Durga Puja pandal in the Shiv Mandir complex, and according to unconfirmed reports also visit the Mela Ground puja pandal.

This is the first time that PM Modi is visiting Chittaranjan Park's Durga Puja celebrations that see footfalls of lakhs during the four days of puja.

Security has been tightened in the colony, known as 'Mini Bengal', with police and paramilitary forces securing the area.

According to residents, NSG commandoes have been placed on the terraces of some houses on the entry of CR Park, to oversee the cavalcade of the prime minister.
