Agartala, Dec. 22 -- Former Tripura Chief Minister and veteran CPI-M leader Manik Sarkar has voiced strong criticism of BJP-led government, pointing out its shortcomings in fostering employment and development during his tenure.
Addressing 11th State Conference of Tripura Leather Artisans Association, he condemned the government for failing to address key issues, including the alarming rise in prices of essential commodities that have left many struggling to make ends meet.
He painted a grim picture of the current scenario, stating that a lack of opportunities and resources has left people feeling helpless. Sarkar encouraged leather artisans to diversify their activities by transitioning from repairing old shoes to producing new ones.
